Local Illustrators Turn Iconic Penang Landmarks Into Creative Postcards

Living in Penang, we know that beauty is everywhere. From our heritage shophouses and all the way to landmarks like Komtar, let’s admit that Penang is indeed very picturesque. All over social media, we can find photos and videos of these landmarks. But these local illustrators from Loka Made took creativity one step further–by turning Penang landmarks into postcards.

Local Illustrators Immortalise The Beauty Of Penang Through Artworks

Loka Made is a Malaysian creative brand founded in 2015. As they hold steadfast to the concepts of discovery and re-assembling local elements, the team at Loka Made adds their own twists of fantasy and creative imagination into their products. And the end result? Artworks that are uniquely Malaysian.

Stickers, postcards, magnets, bookmarks, pop-up cards, and keychains are merely a few to name in their line of products. One product line in particular that truly brings out the Penang element is their postcards.

Also, these postcards boast a semi-realistic illustration of Chew Jetty, Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, Little India as well as the streets of Penang.

Additionally, there are artworks and illustrations of George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site too. These are the team’s creative way to immortalize the beauty of Penang island.

Aside from these, the team also has products inspired by other states such as Kuala Lumpur and Malacca. For Chinese New Year, there are postcards and red packets that add an extra sense of creativity to this festive season.
