2. Roots Dessert Bar

The cakes here have won so many people’s hearts for their style and flavours. They are unique and highly presentable. Roots Dessert Bar is designed in muted tones yet comfortable and their fridge full of desserts will melt your heart.

Their best-loved signature Watermelon Cake is only available from Friday till Sunday. But, you can always try other desserts while you’re there, right? 3. The Maker

The Maker can be found in the heart of George Town, blended in with the historical pre-war buildings. This cafe is definitely one of the dessert meccas we have in town. Environs with plants and a wooden dining set that gives off a peaceful dining vibe, it definitely has a good ambience with a huge and comfortable space.

Although they do not offer any mains, they do have a variety of desserts to choose from. Besides pastries, their cakes are exceptionally beautiful and tasty which would feed your Instagram some good pictures.  Be sure to try out their best-selling cake, Kyoto Azuki! Pst! Another hidden gem in Room 18 Hair Salon, Bayan Baru. Unfortunately, since 15 Grams Coffee Bar is located inside a hair salon, cakes are available for takeaway and delivery only.

Inherit Taste Patisserie has gained quite a lot of attention from social media for its colourful, eye-pleasing cakes and classic, minimalist cafe design. Located at the busy Jalan Imigresen, this cafe only offers cakes, and their speciality is Mille Crepe Cake.
