Set in Bukit Mertajam is De’H Cafe & Bakery, a rising star among other new places to eat in Penang. “H” in their name stands for home, they seek to provide a homey, comfort vibe. We thought their ambiance resembles a strong Chinese traits, humble yet aesthetic. While they do serve mains such as spaghetti and toasts, we say just stick to their bakes. After all, they’re a bakery, and their cakes look stunning.

No we didn’t symbolize the “and” on purpose, they named it like that. Don’t let the name set you back because & Dolce is one of the few new places to eat in Penang offering French patisserie. Delicate and beautifully crafted cakes, often glazed are not just presentable, but melts in your mouth as well. Often times they’re too beautiful to be eaten, so the camera eats first. You’ll be spoilt for choice by what & Dolce has to offer.
