Following the closing of the Jelutong market and Batu Lanchang Market Food Court, this famous roadside food court in Bayan Lepas was ordered to close immediately after three hawkers tested positive for Covid-19.
Super Tanker Food Court To Close Temporarily For Sanitisation
A closure noticed were pasted immediately at the premises on 18th May 2021 after three confirmed cases. Furthermore, a team from the Health Ministry went to the food court to get statements and notify the hawkers. According to one of the hawkers, he noticed several stalls had abruptly closed for business. He had never expected them to be down with Covid-19, he added.
Although many businesses are struggling to stay afloat, the hawkers at Super Tanker Food Court took this news positively. Additionally, this closure is temporary and is done for safety purposes with hawkers in mind. A noodle seller, Peter will regard this matter as a time for him and his family to properly rest.
