Good news, more Covid-19 vaccination centres (PPV) are being set up across the state. Six private hospitals in Penang will be offering Covid-19 vaccinations to the public by mid of June 2021 as part of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
Six Private Hospitals in Penang Will Turn Into PPV to Speed Up Vaccination Process:
More Malaysians are starting to get their first jab of vaccine! To accommodate the volume, six private hospitals in Penang are turning into PPV by the second week of June 2021.
“We hope the vaccination rate in the state will increase with the opening of a mega PPV and through joint efforts with the private sector,” said Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Pantai Hospital, KPJ Perda, Adventist Hospital and Lam Wah Ee Hospital will begin their vaccination drive for the public starting from the 7th of June. Gleneagles and Loh Guan Lye Hospital, on the other hand, will start on the 15th of June.
Some private clinics will also be turned into vaccination centres (PPV) soon. The state hoped to vaccinate at least 1.3 million of the population by the end of the year in order to achieve herd immunity.
Kudos to the authorities for stepping in to speed up the vaccination process! Foodies, be sure to check your MySejahtera app to see if you’re appointed for the vaccine. If you’re in line for the first dose, congratulation! Don’t get too excited and make sure to always abide by the SOPs. That’s all, take care and buh bye!
