As we venture into the 2nd month of 2021, the battle with the pandemic is still ongoing. During MCO 2.0, a dine-in ban was implemented and this undeniably has taken a toll on the F&B industry. Just last week, Hotel Equatorial announced its due closure. Today, sadly, we will be bidding farewell to one of the restaurants in Penang, Projek Nasi Lemak.
Projek Nasi Lemak Will Be Ceasing Operations After 4 Years
Surely, Projek Nasi Lemak is no stranger to Penangites. Back when it was first introduced, they came up with a unique way to enjoy Nasi Lemak. It’s by pairing Malaysians’ favourite dish with gigantic Lobster and other seafood options.
With this new way to enjoy Nasi Lemak, many foodies went flocking to give this new concept a go. Here, you can find unique local dishes with an elevated seafood twist. Options include Nasi Lemak Lobster with Cheese, Mee Goreng with Boston Lobster as well as Butterfly Pea Nasi Lemak with Ikan Bawal.
To pair with their saliva drooling dishes, they have local Mamak drinks such as Coconut Shake, Teh Ais with Mango, and more.
Pay Them A Final Visit Before 21st February 2021
However, with the recent announcement on its official Facebook page, Projek Nasi Lemak is bidding a great farewell to us soon. The official closing date will be on 21st February 2021 so if you miss feasting on Nasi Lemak with seafood, now is your chance to do so.
