Previously, it was announced that six private hospitals in Penang will turn into vaccination centres starting mid-June 2021. If added with the current operating vaccination centres, a total of 16 Covid-19 Vaccination Centres (PPV) and Private Hospitals Covid-19 Vaccination Centres (PPVHS) will be available to the public by mid-June 2021.
List of 16 Covid-19 Vaccination Centres In Penang
As we already know, there are 5 vaccination centres operating in Penang as part of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme. An addition of 6 private hospitals and 5 centres will turn into vaccination centres to speed up the vaccination process. The detailed list of 10 PPV and 6 PPVHS through the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme are as follows:
10 PPV:
Timur Laut
1. Kompleks Masyarakat Penyayang
Operating: Since 19th April 2021
Capacity: 800 people
2. Tapak Pesta Sungai Nibong
Operating: Starts on 8th June 2021
Capacity: 1,000 people
Barat Daya
1. Komplek Sukan Balik Pulau
Operating: Since 19th April 2021
Capacity: 800 people
2. Dewan Balai Rakyat Bayan Baru
Operating: Will be opened
Capacity: 600 people
Seberang Perai Utara
1. Dewan Millenium Kepala Batas
Operating: Since 19th April 2021
Capacity: 800 people
2. Pusat Konvesyen Prada
Operating: Will be opened
Capacity: 800 people
Seberang Tengah
1. Dewan Seberang Perai Arena (SP Arena)
Operating: Since 19th April 2021
Capacity: 800 people
2. Dewan Tapak Ekspo Seberang Jaya
Operating: Starts on 14th June 2021
Capacity: 600 people
Seberang Perai Selatan
1. Dewan Serbaguna Perai Selatan
Operating: Since 19th April 2021
Capacity: 1,200 people
2. Dewan Serbaguna Sungai Bakap
Operating: Will be opened
Capacity: 1,200 people
6 PPVHS:
- Lam Wah Ee Hospital (expected to start on 7th June 2021)
- Pantai Hospital (expected to start on 7th June 2021)
- KPJ Hospital (expected to start on 7th June 2021)
- Loh Guan Lye Hospital (expected to start on 14th June 2021)
- Penang Adventist Hospital (expected to start on 14th June 2021)
- Gleneagles Hospital (expected to start on 14th June 2021)

With more vaccination centres being opened to the public, the state hoped to vaccinate at least 1.3 million of the population by the end of 2021. Do take note that all registration and appointments in hospitals will also be listed through MySejahtera application. Be sure to check it regularly to see if you’re appointed for the vaccine.
