Penang Adventist Hospital Reported 1 New COVID-19 Case At 4pm Today

Penangites, we know the past week has been a tough one for many of us as the first COVID-19 case was reported. In line with that news, Penang is no longer a green zone despite holding the status for 91 consecutive days. If you have been keeping up, all 4 cases were reported over at mainland Penang. But hours ago, one of the hospitals, Adventist Hospital Penang released an official statement that there is 1 new positive case here in Penang.

Penang Adventist Hospital Confirms 1 New COVID-19 Case

The official statement was posted on Penang Adventist Hospital’s official Facebook page. According to the statement, details were released regarding the said case. The patient is a 55-year-old Malaysian who was admitted on 7th August due to a leg wound infection and she was asymptomatic upon admission.

However, after carrying out contact tracing, the patient was a close contact from Kedah. And, as of 13th August 2020, 4pm, the patient was tested positive for COVID-19.
