Kek Lok Si Temple Penang Reopens Today After Months Of Hiatus
As a result of MCO, most tourist spots are forced to take a hiatus from operating. It is mainly for the safety of all citizens. We all know that Penang is that humble island filled with good food and fun things to do. One of it includes taking a drive up to Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang and just bask in the glorious architecture.
Annually, Kek Lok Si Temple will light up with 10,000 LED lights in celebration of Chinese New Year. Because of this, Kek Lok Si Temple has garnered recognition on an international scale, attracting countless of tourists from all over the world.
Today, Kek Lok Si Temple trustee Datuk Seri Steven Ooi said that the iconic landmark is now open to the public from 8.30am to 5.30pm. With the reopening, there are SOPs in place. Visitors are compulsory to put on a face mask, undergo temperature screenings and scanning upon entering.
In addition, visitors must also sanitise their hands and practise a 1-meter social distancing from other visitors.

Meanwhile Penang Hill Funicular Train has begun operating since Wednesday. For some of us, it might not be as safe just yet to visit tourist attractions as it’s always better to stay home and flatten the curve.
