Nestled along Campbell Street, Hong Kee Wan Thun Mee opened up its doors back in 2016. Since then, they’re known for serving some of the best Hong Kong stye wonton mee and was crowned “Kung Fu Bamboo Noodles.” That is because they’re well-known for its handmade traditional bamboo-pressed noodle.

If you’ve visited this place before, you might have seen their workers in action aka perfoming “kung fu.” One would ride on a huge bamboo pole and start seesawing up and down, compressing the dough.

Besides their signature wan thun mee, the place also served an array of stir-fry dishes, and honestly, none of them were bad. That includes their famous flaky pastries that are placed right upon the entrance. Oh boy we’re reminiscing those good flavors.

It’s a shame that we don’t get to pay them one last visit. We do hope that, one day, they’ll open up again and we’ll be able to partonize and support their business.
