In the past, our mums or grandmothers would get them from the night markets or perhaps, bakeries. Is it just us, or is Kuih Bahulu almost a rare scarcity nowadays?

If you’ve been wanting a taste of childhood nostalgia, then we’re here to help because you can make your own Kuih Bahulu from home! With only 3 main ingredients and a sandwich maker, you’ll be on your way to making one of the fluffiest Kuih Bahulu ever.

Ingredients

1 cup of plain flour

1 cup of sugar (or less depending on your preferred level of sweetness)

3 eggs

Step 1: Whip or mix the eggs and sugar until they become fluffy

Step 2: Add in flour and mix all the ingredients well

Step 3: Heat up sandwich maker, and brush a thin layer of oil on it

Step 4: Pour in the mixture into the sandwich maker

Step 5: Wait for around 5-7 minutes until the batter turns golden brown

  1. My 3 ing bahulu was not fluffy at all. It was hard. I followed the recipe. In fact the bottom part was burnt n top not so cooked
