COVID-19: 3 New Cases Reported In George Town, Penang As Of 17th August

Happy Monday friends! Is your Monday feeling sluggish and just a tad blue? Well, as the day is closing in, we have yet another update regarding the COVID-19 situation right here in Penang. Most of us already know that Penang is no longer a green zone after reporting its very first case in the past week.

3 New COVID-19 Cases In Penang Today

Unfortunately, as of 17th August 12 PM, Penang reported 3 new cases, amounting to 10 active cases in the state. According to theĀ Penang Lawan COVID-19 and Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia‘s Facebook pages, the 3 cases are in the Northeast district of Penang island or, George Town.

In addition to that, the 3 new COVID-19 cases in Penang belong to the Tawar Cluster whereby a total of 1,135 patients were screened.

Meanwhile, Malaysia recorded 12 new cases, in which 10 are local cases and the other 2 are imported cases.
