There’s no denying the surge of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, especially in the recent days. Over 10,000 new cases are reported daily while Penang logs over 100 per day. Yesterday itself, there were 371 new positive cases in Penang. And among them, was a staff at Village Grocer, Penang.
(1) Positive Case Reported At Village Grocer City Junction, Penang
According to the official statement released on their Facebook page, Village Grocer announced that one of their staff has tested positive. The said stuff is from the cashier department and was last reported to work on the 22nd of July 2021.
As such, Village Grocer City Junction Penang has arranged for all staff to undergo swab tests. The store has also undergone deep cleaning and sanitization for the safety of its staff and customers.
Hours ago, Village Grocer City Junction has released another statement announcing that they have reopened today. The reopening sees a new team who has had no contact with the affected person and has tested negative for swab tests.
