COVID-19: 36 New Cases Reported In Penang As Of 5th November 2020

Hey there Penangites, the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia and in Penang has been alarming. Additionally, new clusters have been reported recently too. As a consequence of that, Penang is now no longer a green zone with several red and yellow zones. Today, we’re here once again to get the word out that there are 36 new cases as of 5th November 2020.

Penang Records 36 New COVID-19 Cases Today

With the latest statistics of 36 new cases, Penang now has a total of 172 active cases. As posted on the official Facebook pages of Penang Lawan COVID-19 and Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, the 36 new cases are in the Timur Laut (+16), Barat Daya (+1), Seberang Perai Utara (+1), Seberang Perai Selatan (+15), and Seberang Perai Tengah (+3) Ā districts of Penang.

On a side note, Malaysia recorded a staggering 1009 new cases, in which 1000 are local cases and the other 9 are imported cases. There are 6 new deaths reported today and 839 recovered cases.
