It’s not a secret anymore that many have been affected negatively since the pandemic began last year. Hence, many Malaysians have stepped up to help those in need in these difficult times. The same goes for Arati Villas restaurant tucked in Tanjung Bungah, Penang. With no questions asked, they unhesitantly distribute free meals for everyone.
Arati Villas Restaurant Gives Out Free Food For All
Despite struggling with their own financial hardship, Vengdesparan N Rajalingam and his wife continue to give out free food to those in need since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic last year. The food packets were left on the table upon their restaurant entrance every Wednesday for people to take. Apart from that, all their 15 workers are also retained and paid full wages, including their lodging.
In conjunction with the White Flag campaign, Vengdesparan pledged to give out 100 packets of free meals a day (or more if runs out) this July. The packed meal contains rice with fried chicken, fried fish and eggs from a quality and selected ingredients. Aside from his restaurants, he also sends his son to distribute these hot meals around George Town. For more information:
