Situated on the top floor of B Street Hotel, Apa Nama Ni is a Muslim-run restaurant serving a plethora of Halal local fares. The layout in general is pretty straightforward and unpretentious, despite its quirky name. The open-air concept allows ample lighting and ventilation, plus it’s quite spacious.
Dine al fresco and enjoy the breeze while overlooking 180-degree view of Penang! We highly recommend to drop by and dine in during the evening for the best sunset view.
Besides the view, Apa Nama Ni whips up some delicious, authentic Malay local dishes. Note: Puns ahead with some of the name of their dishes. Their bestselling Nasi Lemak Hujan Panas comes along with lipsmacking kampung style Sambal tumis and crispy Ayam Goreng Panas, a perfect combination.
Ikan Panggang Ala Portugis and Char Koay Teow are fairly popular as well. The first had a smoky aroma and is nicely marinated. If you love a hearty meal, you’ll love their ikan panggang paired with warm, fluffy rice. The latter, is the classic Char Koay Teow basah. You can definitely taste the rich seafood stock and a bit of wok hei in every bite!
