? Adults & Children

The Blue Mansion (Facebook).

You know what this is! This is a must thing to do if you are in Penang for the first time with your family. Follow Penang Heritage Trail or Penang Art Trail, you will not go wrong! Ideally, it is best to follow the trails in the evenings to prevent sunburn. Sunburn is not the best kind of souvenir! Speaking of souvenirs, 8 Must-buy Souvenirs in Penang Before You Leave!

Personally, if there are children, they will probably enjoy the art trail a little bit more compared to the heritage trail. Why? There are cat murals located nearby Armenian Street. You can head down to Tourist Information Centre and check out the different routes and choose the one that suits you the best! Remember to ask for a map.

No worries, we’re not talking about real magic. We are talking about places in Penang that feels a little magical, almost out of a fairy tale. Like Roald Dahl (the greatest author of all time, we might add!) once said, “And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places”.

The first magical place is Penang Secret Avatar Garden. During daylight, it seems like another ordinary place. At night, it comes alive with the most beautiful lights you will ever see. It is a good place to take photographs or pretend that you are in a magical storybook.
