While they have limited choices of food, the choices that are available are pretty similar to what they serve in Hong Kong during breakfast time. Their signature and “wow” dish is the Lau Sa Pau with five different flavours – black sesame, salted egg, lotus, chocolate and peanut. A very thin layer of pau with a generous amount of fillings, surely this must be on everyone’s must-order list.

Truly a new kid on the block, Mykōri at D’Piazza Mall is actually their first-ever outlet in Penang. You’ll be spoilt for choice at this spot with the Thai Tea Kakigori, Matcha Latte Kakigori, Strawberry Cheesecake and more but yet the Mont Fuji Kakigori is still winning. Served with yogurt ice, fresh strawberry, fresh mango, charcoal cream and almond dice, it will surely leave you wanting for more. For more than 50 years Veloo Villa stood and is still standing strong as one of the few restaurants in Penang that offers banana leaf rice, the favourite of South Indian delicacy of many.
