8 Spots In Penang To Get Yee Sang This CNY 2022
1. Din Tai Fung
The very first place to get Yee Sang in Penang is over at Din Tai Fung. Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese dumpling house known for its signature Xiao Long Bao and fluffy fried rice. For CNY 2022, Din Tai Fung is introducing Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng priced at RM68 for 4-6 pax. It will be available for order from 13th January onwards until 15th February 2022.
2. Sushi Tei

Next up, head over to Sushi Tei and order their very own rendition of Yee Sang. This year, Sushi Tei is rolling out not 1 but 3 types of Yee Sang. Make way for Premium Yee Sang, served with Salmon, Kurose Buri and Akaebi as well as fresh Japanese ingredients. Signature Yee Sang consists of salmon and fresh Japanese ingredients whereas Vegetarian Yee Sang is served with a selection of Japanese vegetables and premium fruits.
3. Sushi Wafu
Another Japanese restaurant that’s offering Yee Sang in Penang this CNY 2022 is Sushi Wafu. As a Japanese chain restaurant that prides itself on serving quality Sushi and Japanese cuisine at an affordable price, their Yee Sang is worth a shot too. For RM68.90, you can get the Prosperity Yee Sang with 7 types of fresh Sashimi slices like Salmon, White Tuna, Maguro and more. You can also opt to add on fresh Sashimi slices too.
4. Edo Ichi Japanese Restaurant
Edo Ichi Japanese Restaurant has also released Fortune Yee Sang for the Chinese New Year. Get the Regular Yee Sang for 2-3 persons at RM78 while the large Yee Sang at RM108 for 4-6 persons. Also, with the purchase of a Large Yee Sang, you can enjoy a 30% discount on add-on sashimi. On top of that, you can also get a Regular Yee Sang at 20% off too.
5. Dragon-i
Moving on in our list of places to get Yee Sang in Penang is over at Dragon-i. Known for serving Chinese cuisine prepared by highly-skilled chefs from mainland China, for this CNY 2022, they have the Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot Feast. This CNY exclusive release comes with Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot, Yee Sang, and Braised Pork Knuckle priced at RM488 that guarantees a feast for the entire family! Do note that a 3-day prior booking is required.
6. G Hotel Penang
This CNY, if you’re feeling slightly lazy to cook up a feast, opt for G Hotel’s Prosperity Takeaway. Consisting of Fresh Salmon Yee Sang for 5 persons priced at RM68, there are also other items like Mini Monk Soup, Ayam Golek with Acar, Mini Abalone Lotus Leaf Rice, and more. In fact, you can also get CNY cookies here as well. If you’re looking for a feast, we’d suggest the Treasure Bowl (Poon Choi) priced at RM188 that comes with whole abalone, fresh scallops, sea cucumber, and many more.
7. Eastin Hotel
You can also get Yee Sang from Eastin Hotel, Penang this CNY 2022. The Fortune Yee Sang from Eastin Hotel consists of colourful elements and the star of the dish is your pick of either Norwegian Salmon or Sashimi Grade Tuna. From the official poster, it looks like there will be a generous amount of fresh Sashimi slices on each Yee Sang serving. It is priced at RM148.
8. Eastern & Oriental Hotel
As for Eastern & Oriental Hotel, they have 4 types of Prosperity Yee Sang to ring in CNY. Yee Sang with condiments (RM88), Yee Sang with smoked salmon and condiments (RM138), Yee Sang with Norwegian Salmon Sashimi and condiments (RM138) as well as Yee Sang with Sliced Abalone and condiments (RM238). You can also end your feast on a sweet note with E&O’s Chinese New Year Goodies including Pineapple Tart, Peanut Butter Cookies, Macarons, and more.
