Village Grocer Projected to Open Its First Outlet in Penang in June 2021

We don’t know about you, but grocery shopping is something very satisfying to do, at least to us. Perhaps it’s because of the neatly arranged aisles of goods or exploring different brands and products that are new to us. When Village Grocer first announced its opening in Penang last year, we got so excited! Finally, after a good (very long) wait, we heard they’re opening their doors in June 2021!

Village Grocer Sets to Open Their First Outlet in Penang in June 2021:

Let’s be honest, the last time we Penangites heard from Village Grocer was perhaps in November 2020 when they first announced their outlet’s location in Penang. After months with no updates, many of us couldn’t even recall having a new grocer chain coming to City Junction, Tanjung Tokong.

This time, they’re real. The premium grocer has recently posted ‘off to the North’ over on their Facebook. We’ve even read comments that some already spotted the outlet moving their stocks in. A few netizens revealed that Village Grocer is projected to open on the 17th of June 2021!

While we couldn’t confirm the date just yet, we’re 100% sure they’re opening SOON, in June. So to anyone who’s a fan of grocery shopping, you’ve got a new place to explore more premium brands.

With that being said, by no means are we encouraging you guys to head out just to ‘shop.’ The number of cases is still rising each day, so please stay home and only head out to grab necessities when needed.
