We’ve been undergoing MCO 3.0 for close to 2 weeks now. As of 25th May 2021, there will be tightened SOPs to curb the increase of new cases. Among them include economic sectors operating until 8 PM only and the increase of roadblocks. Additionally, the Penang ferry service hours will also be rescheduled in light of MCO 3.0.
Penang Ferry Rescheduled During MCO 3.0
Here is the new schedule to take note of:
1. Passenger Ferry Schedule
Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim
First boat ride departure: 7 AM
Last boat ride departure: 7 PM
Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal
First boat ride departure: 7.30 AM
Last boat ride departure: 7.30 PM
2. Vehicle Ferry Schedule
Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim
First boat ride departure: 7 AM
Last boat ride departure: 7 PM
Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda
First boat ride departure: 7.30 AM
Last boat ride departure: 7.30 PM
Aside from the ferry reschedule times, the passenger capacity will also be reduced to only 50% of its initial capacity. These measures are essential to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
