4. FamilyMart Karpal Singh Drive

Almost everyone is excited about this. The long-awaited popular Japanese convenience store, FamilyMart, finally opened up an outlet in Penang! Apparently this is their 200th store in Malaysia and they are celebrating by offering customers 25% off selected products when you show to the counter that you liked their official Facebook page. August babies can even get a free sofuto ice cream on their birthday as long as they became a member. Honestly, even without the discounts, people will still crowd the store. It’s the udon counter you see.

Haven’t you heard? Pulau Pinang became the first state in the country to open up a digital library! Butterworth Digital Library (BDL) is now available for the public’s perusal! Thanks to this development, the library took us one step further towards upgrading Penang’s status into a smart state. Visitors will be able to choose around 5,494 books of different genres to read. Everything reading material is accessible using tablets that they have provided. So cool!
