#1  Seberang Perai Fiesta (26th-30th Sept)

An estimated number of 100,00 are expected to attend this so you be better one of em. Penang is an island that never sleeps when it comes to food and they’re taking it up a notch this coming week for the Baddest Seberang Perai Fiesta from the 26th till 30th Sept from 10 AM till 11 PM!

Besides, Plant lovers will get the attention they deserve with more than 43 stalls set up related to potted plants, seeds, fertilizers, and farming products. That’s something different and you ain’t missing it if you happen to own a garden! Expect pop–up stores, 100 food stalls and trucks while you ease on to live performances to jam with! Oh, and there are even activities such as fishing, cat competition (CAT LOVERS). Gear up foodies!

Each performance will feature a two-hour long world-class programme encompassing nearly 40 professional performers guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat! #3 The Colourful Run 2018 (23rd Sept)

If y’all didn’t know how fun it was to play with colors and go crazy here’s how it goes!

While not as filmy and with a cute boy wooing you, this might just sway your week on the Jiggy side especially knowing you can make a difference to the hearing impaired community by just participating in this run! Get GEARED UP!  To mark International Deaf Week 2018, a charity 5km fun run will be held at 1st Avenue Mall in Penang on Sept 23 AT 7.30 AM. CHECK IT OUT!

#4 Acroyoga (Every Sunday)

IN the mood for some flexing and bending cuz we’ve got some certified acro-yoga trainer to show you how to do it right! AcroYoga is a practice that involves the skill of Yoga, Acrobat and also the trust between one another in order to try out some “way of your league” moves! During each class, Ginny and her team will show us the art of Yoga as well as the beauty of harmony between people and the best part of this all is that, IT’S FREE AND BY THE FLAMINGO BEACH every Sunday from 5 pm till the sun goes down! #5 Solo Exhibition- Touch of palette knife

Loo Hooi Nam, a self-taught artist from Kedah, and an expert in painting with just a palette knife has a solo exhibition running at the G Art Gallery in G Hotel Gurney, “Touch of Palette Knife” until the end of October which includes over a dozen of his works such as shape, colour, texture and depth placed on canvas to tell you a story. Some of the paintings are believed to uphold a 3D view!

With over two decades of experience with the palette knife, Mr. Loo brings you excitement and joy as you walk into the gallery and witness the refreshing techniques used by him. Painting with a palette knife means he lays the paint on thickly so that it stands out from a surface, and the artist’s confidence and his bold and innovative ideas shine through. Get hold of this wonderful art techniques and maybe a conversation or two with this self-taught legacy in G Art Gallery- G Hotel Gurney located at 168A, Gurney Drive from today till the 31st of October any time of the day or night as it’s open to the public for 24 hours!

#6  Jazz performance @ Penang Pac (22nd September)

It’s the music that many men say they like, but don’t actually know anything about. Don’t be that person! Catch a glimpse of an amazing jazz band players right here in the island of oriental pearl enticing you with options ranging from swing to afro-Cuban, including (I’m Back Home Again In) Indiana, I Can’t Get Started, Chameleon, Polka Dot & MoonBeams, My Way & many more. As ever, the 20 or so members of BBoP will be led by exuberant and enthusiastic music director Jerome Quah.

Following the success of Jazz@penangpac in June, the Penang Jazz Society & the penangpac is proud again to jointly present Jazz@penangpac #2 on September 22nd 2018. Headlining the show once again will be the Big Band of Penang (BBoP), PJS’ flagship ensemble. BBoP has recently performed in the 10th Thailand International Jazz Conference, Taipei Big Band Madness and USM Music Festival. BBoP will be performing a selection of big band jazz works ranging from swing to afro-Cuban.  Do not miss the chance. More information right here!
