#1 Scissor Sisters Pink Lounge

It’s no secret that bars in Penang are mushrooming every corner, and most of them have similar styles and ambiance, that sometimes it’s a bit boring. Scissor Sisters breaks the typical, and no it’s not a hidden bar. In fact, it’s a ladies bar, that’s right only ladies are allowed to enter. The first ladies bar in Penang and most probably also the first in Malaysia. What’s better than having a safer chill spot for ladies without having to worry about the wolves? This modern classy bar has signature cocktails such as 69 and Bloody Mary that are perfect for the ladies.

Of course, you won’t vomit rainbow after this, but it’s the rainbow cheese pull we’re talking about. The rainbow sandwich is a must in your things to eat in Penang list okay?

Cheese, cheese and more cheese! If you’re a cheese lover like editor, you must try out their ultimate cheeseburger. The burger is literally soaked in cheese sauce as if it’s free. Please do not use fork and knife for this burger, it’s such a disgrace. Dripping in cheese sauces, this cheeseburger is meant to get your hands dirtied. Fret not if you’re not a cheese fan, try out their fried chicken rice and Korean fried chicken as well. Crunchy, flavorful and finger lickin’ good. Did we tell you that Lemburger is a Penang-based fast food chain? Lemburger is definitely one of the things to eat in Penang, support okay?

Apart the old school noodle spots we recommended, Lucky Bowl is a new noodle spot located at Lorong Selamat. They serve Sabah style pork noodles. Their broth are so aromatic and distinctive. Try out their signature Sang Nyuk Soup, Special Sauce Dry Noodle and more. They also have really unique drink, avocado and milo? Who would’ve thought of that combo. Things to eat in Penang? Lucky Bowl Noodle for sure, and you might get lucky.

Is there still space for desserts after all the good food? Then you have to try out this sweet treat! You might not be familiar with this one, but it’s sure one of the best things to eat in Penang. Why? Smooth shaved ice drowned in the flavor of your choice and topped with sweetlicious toppings such as oreo, brownie, strawberry and more! This bowl of cooling desserts is best for Penang’s weather. Take a look at the preparation, so sinful! Sweet, chilly and friendly service, best of both worlds.
