Opened on the 2nd of July, did you see the queue?! It was a bomb, people kept coming! Yes of course we tried out their food. In fact, editor is a huge fan of Ippudo. Before ramen, starters first. Their salmon roll and sake mentai rice, OMG it’s a must try. Their fried chicken is out of this world as well. On to the ramen, our favourite has got to be Akamaru. The fragrant garlic oil made the whole bowl heavenly. Or even challenge yourself with the Karaka series, you get to pick your level of spiciness.

The long-awaited San Francisco Coffee is finally here! SF coffee is one of the new things to try in July Penang 2018 that’s located in Gurney Plaza. They took over the previous coffee chain, Doutor Coffee. Serving quality coffee at an affordable price, we tried it and it’s a thumbs up from us! The setting pulls out a sense of serenity with the blue and wood tones. The art on the wall resembles American vibe, which makes the store lively. Besides coffee, San Francisco also serves mains like sandwiches and pastas. Not many has noticed SF coffee, so better head over now before it’s crowded.

We Malaysian especially Chinese love taking Yau Char Kuay (chinese cruller) as breakfast, or even pair it with our porridge. It is typically dip in soy milk or eat on its own. What if we tell you can dip your fried dough in pandan? Mind-blowing we know, but it’s true. Chakuey Pandan is actually a street food that could be found in Thailand. The combination of sweet, fragrant pandan with salty fried dough is oddly satisfying. Chakuey Pandan is definitely one of the new things to try in July Penang 2018.
