2. Habee’s Kitchen

A big bowl of Tom Yam, Milky Soup or Bitter Gourd Soup anyone? Located in between everything, Habee’s in Nagore Square is a friendly bowl complemented with crisply fried fishes, springy noodles, and well-seasoned soups. The best cure for a cold or cloudy day. Golden Bowl did and we are more than happy to let them. Surprisingly complementing the creaminess from the cheese and spiciness from the broth, its a war between resting yet wanting more and more. Besides, they also seem to appreciate Milo because their Magic Milo as RM3.90 is calling out all the Milo fans out there for a retreat to their soon to be ‘Golden-spot’

It all began in 1923 and four generations later, from a pushcart to owning many branches all over Penang, the Lee Brothers’ Ais Kacang still has its effect on locals who always come back for their comforting childhood dessert.

And now being the season of durian is the best time or what to try out their durian ice kacang or cendol that they guarantee you’re going to be pleased with. Operating for nearly 100 years, it’s undeniable that old is gold!

Slow-cooked for 3 hours using vegetable oil for a healthier substitution, the tender meat is believed to fall right off the bone. ‘Not the fan of duck’ myself is currently checking the calendar to slot this in.
