5. Goodwill Eating Charity Food Fair
Goodwill Eating Charity Food Fair is a fund-raising event to support the welfare and health care of both adults and children having Thalassaemia in the country. It returns bigger for the second time at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (C) Shang Wu, happening on the 18th of August. It is worth mentioning that they will bring you a wide variety of good food, including home-cooked specialities, Penang hawkers as well as dry food items. 6. I Love George Town Run 2019
If you have been eating too much just like us, it is time to start training for a marathon to be healthy again! I Love George Town Run will be happening at 7:00 AM on the 25th August 2019. 8. Merdeka Day @ Esplanade
One of the most happening events in August 2019, it’s our 62nd National Day or Independence Day! Organized by the Penang State Government, the Merdeka Parade will be held at Esplanade to remember those who have fought hard for our country.
More than a hundred contingents representing various government agencies will be taking part in the parade. Besides, this is also a chance to educate the younger generations about our history, and what the heroes have gone through to free our country from colonization.
