Next up, 3 Leg Cat Cafe over at Relau has made itself a name for being a super cool cafe that’s perfect for a hang-out. They have also specially prepared 2 unique potato dishes namely the U.S. Potatoes Hash & Eggs and U.S. Potatoes Shepard’s Pie.
The U.S. Potatoes Hash & Eggs comes with U.S. potato cubes and eggs together with a drizzle of homemade sauce that just goes really well together. As for their U.S. Potatoes Shepard’s Pie, it’s smooth, creamy, and definitely makes for a fulfilling meal.

We’re sure Penangites are no strangers to Sin Seh Kai Bakery, which is known for being a cozy breakfast spot that serves freshly-baked bread.
Having tried out two of their specials; Banger & U.S. Mashed Potatoes Big Breakfast and U.S. Potatoes Bacon Buns, we can tell why this is a favourite bakery among locals. Their Big Breakfast comes with premium ingredients and the U.S. Potatoes Bacon, made using potato flour is shaped to resemble real potatoes with a generous filling that combines U.S. potatoes and bacon.

Carrot Fish has been around long enough for us to love its pastel-pink-themed interior with the concept of serving real food using only fresh and natural ingredients.
This time around, we managed to try their Crispy Meatball U.S. Mashed Potatoes and U.S. Potatoes Hash & Egg Pocket. The first dish comprises crispy on-the-outside meatballs served atop creamy mashed potato while the second dish comes with smooth mashed potatoes wrapped in a pocket. If you ask us, we’d highly recommend going for the Crispy Meatball!

5. Chen The Legacy House
Next on the list is Chen The Legacy House, a cafe that’s hidden inside an antique shop in Penang. This means that you also get to bask in the antique pieces while dining here, so cool!
Two potato-based dishes that we tried here are the Garlic Chilli Oil U.S. Potato Noodles, Cheesy Ham Hasselback U.S. Potatoes. The potato noodles were tender and chewy and when mixed with garlic chilli oil, really elevates the entire dish. You get both savoury and fragrance in one bite. As for the other dish, you get U.S. potatoes, cheese and ham in one bite-sized golden brown snack. Yummy!

If you’re craving Taiwanese-styled potato dishes, then Half Acre Restaurant is the place to go! Located at Straits Quay, dining at this restaurant feels like you are transported into Chinese dramas set in the olden days. The outdoor setting has a spectacular sea view, so we definitely recommend sitting outdoors!
As the name suggests, the Crispy Salted Egg U.S. Potatoes are crispy and savoury, tempting you to dig in bite after bite! P.s. It’s also the one of the chef’s favourite dish~ For those who love spicy food or mala, opt for the Sichuan Style Hot Pepper Chili U.S. Potatoes instead!

Not gonna lie guys, the flavourful and filling Cheesy U.S. Potatoes Shepherd Pie is one of our personal favourites! For those who prefer a lighter dish, the Japanese U.S. Potatoes Salad here is creamy and yummy-licious too!

The food here also tastes like nostalgia as their home-cooked dishes and meals are prepared by experienced Chinese chefs. One of their delicious potato dishes is the Sambal Nyonya U.S. Potato, which is a must-try based on our dining experience there. Every bite of the potatoes bursts with flavours, and it has the delicious balance of dried shrimp and spices so it will not be too spicy. There’s also the Minced Pork Stir Fry U.S. Potatoes that goes best with a bowl of hot fragrant white rice.
