With the MCO still going strong, outdoor activities are strictly forbidden. Nature lovers and sports enthusiasts sure have it rough for the past few weeks. Despite that, don’t let that restrict your usual routine. We can still do as much activity and gain as much knowledge indoor. We just need to know the right approach to handle the situation.
Celebrate Earth Day Differently This Year
Penangites must have heard of The Habitat by now. It is an eco-park on Penang Hill that features the island’s oldest rainforest, a staggering 130-millions-year old rainforest to be exact! Announced on their Facebook page recently, The Habitat will host a live stream event called the “After Dark” event. And you guessed it right, the event will take us on a virtual trip together, featuring the natural terrain during nightfall.
This is definitely a fresh way to enjoy Earth Day on the 22nd April this year. The live stream starts at 5 pm so make sure that you are at least 10 minutes early. Stick around and watch all of the nocturnal animals come to life at night. This tour is definitely great for young and old alike as we get to enjoy it from the comforts of our home. Participate for free. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org or simply sent them a message to their Facebook page to register.
Let The Experts Lead The Nature Trip
Naturalists from The Habitat and GreenSmiths will lead us to the exploration of sights and sounds of the forest. Get ready to learn about the amazing diversity of the forest, and catch glimpses of secretive night creatures on camera. You will not get bored as interactive sessions will be held and even special gifts to be won! Definitely a family quality time material. So stay at home and enjoy this amazing landscape with your family and friends.
