As Malaysians, we love ourselves a packet of classic Nasi Lemak. Fluffy rice cooked with coconut milk simmered with sambal alongside some crunchy Ikan Bilis, we’re already drooling. Now, here at Projek Nasi Lemak, you get a whole new invention of Nasi Lemak as it comes with lobster topped with melted cheese. Also, instead of your regular rice, you get Butterfly Pea rice. You can also find basic Nasi Lemak elements such as Ikan Bilis, groundnuts, boiled egg and sambal. Pair each component together for a flavourful bite!

2. Mee Goreng with Boston Lobster

Ever eaten Mee Goreng with Lobster? Well, you can now have a go at Projek Nasi Lemak. The lobster is firstly steamed before being torched to perfection. And that’s not all, the tender lobster meat is full of roe and when paired with something as simple as Mee Goreng, it turns out to be irresistible. If you love a little spicy kick, pair it with the sambal!

3. Butterfly Pea Nasi Lemak With Ikan Bawal

Aside from signature dishes that come with lobster, you can also opt for the Nasi Lemak that comes with Ikan Bawal. For this dish, you will have the option to pair it with either curry gravy or sambal kicap cili potong for an extra kick. As the Butterfly Pea rice is fluffy, it complements the crispy texture of the Ikan Bawal, making it a perfect combo.

Complete Your Meal With Assorted Beverages

1. Coconut Shake

Coconut Shake is Projek Nasi Lemak’s signature drink. This thirst quencher consists of coconut water topped with a scoop of ice cream for just the right amount of sugar.

2. Lemon Grass Fizi

If you’re looking for a fizzy drink to tone things down, then try out the Lemon Grass Fizi. It’s refreshing and slightly acidic, making it perfect for an after-meal drink.

3. Teh Ais with Mango

One of the new drinks recently added to the menu is Teh Ais with Mango. Yet another creation that’s out of the norm, this drink combines Malaysians’ favourite drink, Teh Tarik with mango cubes as toppings. The mango cubes give the drink a unique texture.

So, the next time you’re nearby Bayan Lepas and you feel like going on a seafood feast, then drop by at Projek Nasi Lemak. There’s no other spots in Penang that gives such a modern twist to classic Malaysian favourites. Enjoy and goodbye!
