4 New COVID-19 Cases In Penang Today
Good evening fellow Penangites. The past week has been nothing but worrying to most of us as our state reported its very first COVID-19 case. As a consequence of that, Penang is now no longer a green zone with several yellow zones. Today, we’re here once again to get the word out that there are 4 new cases as of 19th August, 12 PM.
With the latest statistics of 4 new cases, Penang now has a total of 13 active cases. As posted on the official Facebook pages of Penang Lawan COVID-19 and Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, the 4 new cases are in the Southwest (+3 cases) and Northeast (+1 case) districts of Penang.
Additionally, the 4 new COVID-19 cases in Penang belong to the Tawar Cluster whereby a total of 1,910 patients were screened.
On a side note, Malaysia recorded 16 new cases, in which 12 are local cases and the other 4 are imported cases.
Take Care, Friends!
With the cases increasing in Penang, we all have the responsibility to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe. So, do avoid any unnecessary outings. Also, wherever you are, always practise a good sense of hygiene, social distance yourselves and wear masks at all times!
