Nyoman food guide in George Town Penang. I found this useful but then I found the use of MSG offensive to my palate. Authentic foods do not need msg. So if this information was added then we can differentiate if the food is authentic. If one is sensitive or allergic it will be very helpful. Thanks
Would be great if nyonya kuih is included in this article
Kebaya – is totally NOT authentic Nyonya – they market themselves as Nyonya Inspired Indochine Cuisine.
Whatever they call it it’s pretty amazing!
Hi there,
We’ll be in Penang soon with a cruise so have just a day to top up on Nyonya dishes. We plan to get on the CAT bus and stick to the route so we don’t get lost and miss the boat (literally!!!) Are any of the above very close to a CAT bus stop or is there another restaurant that you would recommend very close to the route the bus takes?
Thank you 🙂
