1. PYNK Penang
If Instagram is your main agenda, you’ll be glad to know that this new cafe’s fancy and charming decor makes a beautiful backdrop. The pinkish walls with fresh plants and wooden furniture, everything fit together perfectly.
Besides, they serve several choices of healthy food including Smoothie Bowls, freak shakes, gourmet toasts and waffles. However, PYNK transforms into a Spanish inspired candlelit haven at night, serving traditional Tapas and Sangria.

2. Xiao Long Kan (小龍坎老火鍋)
Following the successful opening in KL, Xiao Long Kan is finally open at Sunrise Tower, Penang. Originates from Chengdu, they offer an array of fresh ingredients and innards, as well as a selection of delicious broths.
Not to mention, their signature Spicy Broth is carefully prepared from a selection of finest chilli peppers, herbs and seasoning, it’s a must-try for all the hot-pot lovers! Also, don’t leave without trying their Rose Meat Ball, Spicy Chili Beef and Pork Blood.

Another new brand into the bubble milk tea scene! The Monarch Tea is finally open its first outlet in Penang at Nagore Square. Their menu is equally extensive ranging from the all-time favourites milk tea to refreshing fruit tea and flavourful milkshake. What makes them even more unique isn’t the taste but also each of the drinks has its own character and is named differently.
Do give their most popular drink, Three Kingdom Special Milkshake a try. If you’re not a fan of milkshake, you can opt for other flavours include Fire Dragon, Colorful Joy (strawberry), Hulk Attack (Matcha), Qian Long Pomelo (pomelo) and more! Having mookata has just gotten a whole lot more interesting and fun at Thai Mookata Palace. Located at Lebuh McNair, this new restaurant brings its interior to a whole new level by setting up the Bangkok-inspired double-decker seating. 5. The Book Sandwich Cafe
The Book Sandwich Cafe on Beach Street has moved into a bigger space just a few doors down the street. The brand new space is absolutely welcoming with beautiful furniture that makes perfect sense together. Don’t be fooled by its name, besides the legendary sandwich, the cafe also serves pasta, salad, mushroom soup, burger, steak and more. In addition, the upper floor is now all set to serve wine and beer and they have daily live-band performances as well.

6. Grab Tea
The first robotic beverage kiosk in Malaysia, known as GrabTea, has arrived in Gurney Plaza.
