New MCO SOP: No More Than 3 People Allowed in a Car

Good evening, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has just announced that the whole Malaysia will be placed under MCO 3.0 effective 12th of May till 7th of June 2021. With that comes a new set of SOP. This includes allowing a maximum capacity of 3 people in a car, be it private vehicles or e-hailing.

Following Prime Minister’s latest announcement, only a maximum of 3 people is allowed in a vehicle to be on the road. This includes private vehicles, taxis, and e-hailing.

Vehicles like lorries, trucks, and other modes of transportation made for carrying loads and for economic/industrial purposes, are based on car capacity and its license. Passengers on public transportation on the other hand, will have to adhere to strict SOP set by the government and practice social distancing.
