1. Norm @ Saw Emporium Penang

Norm Cafe in Penang

Norm cafe has caught us in first sight. Covered in white tiles, it has a signboard that shows “norm” in the morning and “noct” after evening.

Interestingly, their menu is also divided into the “norm” menu and “noct” menu. The “norm” menu offers a good range of coffee, tea and waffles. On the other hand, all food and beverages in the “noct” section contain alcohol.

Don’t be surprised to find your lovely coffee bar turn into hipster chill bar at night.

  1. Love all the food flavours on Penang island just a tip for westerners find a local person whom you trust and let them pay the table bill do not attempt to pay yourself if you do make sure you know how much you give the shop keeper and make sure you count your change, five local women an one westerner dined for afternoon fresh coconut drinks the westerner tendered $100Rm for a $32rm bill and received $18rm change only, disappointed!
