Famous Dessert Joint From Hatyai Is Finally Here In Penang Island
5 months ago, we let you guys know that Me Melon’s very first outlet in Penang was set to open in Mainland. Fellow islanders, we know how that feels. Travel across the bridge for some Kakigori? Some may be up for it but some may be turned off by this.
So, this time around, Me Melon will be making their grand appearance on the island! To be more specific, we mean right here in Gurney Plaza. That’s not all, the soft opening date has already been confirmed as well. Before we move on, let’s take a look at what Me Melon is all about:
Me Melon is a Kakigori expert, and yes, we notice the mushrooming trend of Kakigori all over Penang. Perhaps it’s to replace the bubble tea trend? We’ll never know but one thing’s for sure, we’ll pick shaved ice dessert over bubble tea anytime. Right?
Aside from melt-in-your-mouth Kakigori, Me Melon also has delicious Shibuya Toasts up for all you foodies. Thus, we no longer need to travel all the way Bangkok for some of that. We can have it without leaving Penang! Yay!
