Following the implementation of MCO 2.0 which begins today until 26 January 2021, interstate travels are not allowed at all, be it MCO, CMCO, or RMCO except with proper documentations. That being said, travelers who are currently still out of town are allowed to travel back home until 15 January 2021.
You Can Still Travel Back Home Until 15th January 2021:
In a recent announcement, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that those who are currently in their hometowns can make their way home, latest by Friday (15 January 2021).
The police have started setting up roadblocks since midnight to prevent interstate travelling, and will take force for the next two week.
However, he said that the government will be giving some leeway over the next few days for people to make their way home.
“They will have to do it at least by Friday, or may be stuck in their hometowns for the next two weeks, ” he said.
The question is, how? Those with valid bus or flight ticket can proceed with their journey. For the rest who are travelling on the road, you may download the Travel Permit form here and get approval from the police. Better act quick or you’ll be stranded at where you are after the 15th of January.
Foodies, if you know of someone who’s currently begging to head home, share this piece of information out to them. Don’t forget to practice safe hygiene and adhere strictly to the SOP. Together, we can do this. That’s all, stay safe and buh bye!
