Let’s admit this. The past year has not been an easy one for most of us. Some businesses were forced to go on a hiatus with parties being retrenched. We’ve seen situations whereby a pilot took on a completely different route by selling burgers in KL.
Fresh Fruits From A Car To Weather The Storm
In fact, there’s a similar situation taking place closer to home, right here along Jalan Macalister. A 58-year-old Uncle Lim is seen selling fruits from the bonnet of his car. Uncle Lim was a construction worker before being retrenched due to MCO.
Now, when the going gets tough, Uncle Lim gets tougher by selling fruits from his car. This is his way to earn a living for his 4 kids aged between 5-18 years old alongside his wife. Every day, without fail, Uncle Lim will park his car right outside of Hua Xia International School with his exhibition of fresh fruits sourced from a supplier.
Additionally, you will find that his fruits vary daily and range from soursop, mango, pomelo, banana, dragonfruit, and pineapple. While you’re there, make sure to park your cars considerately so as to not obstruct the ongoing traffic.
Support Uncle Lim
So if you’re stocking up on fresh fruits, show Uncle Lim some support. Besides, we should always help someone not for the reward but for the sake of changing a life.
