Recently, Penang has been recording a spike of new cases almost every single day. With close to 2000 new cases, everyone sure is worried. But fear not as Penang will have a drive-through COVID-19 screening over at Fort Cornwallis and Penang World City for only RM200 by BP LAB.
First Robotic RT-PCR Covid-19 Technology Screening Available In Penang For Only RM200
Fort Cornwallis and Penang World City are in collaboration with BP LAB as venue sponsors to hold the first COVID-19 drive-through screening using Robotic RT-PCR technology. This technology minimizes the risk of human error.
Although there are drive-through screenings at hospitals in Penang, they are usually at a rather costly rate. Hence at Fort Cornwallis and Penang World City, the rate to get a PCR swab test is priced at only RM200 if you make an appointment ahead.
Do note that it is advisable to make pre-booking to avoid overcrowding. Walking in at BP LAB for a PCR test will cost you an additional RM40, that is RM240.
If you’re looking to do a pre-departure swab test, you can similarly make your way to the drive-through screening at Fort Cornwallis and Penang World City. It’s rather easy, the staff at the site will be swabbing the inside of your nose while you remain seated in your car.
For PCR swab tests, this service is open from Monday to Sunday, 2PM until 4PM. If you make an appointment for a PCR swab test at either Fort Cornwallis or Penang World City, the results will be released within 24-36 hours or the next working day.
Furthermore, the RTK Antigen test with 80% accuracy is also available at Fort Cornwallis and Penang World City for RM90. Results will be released within a short span of 15 minutes.
