This hidden gem, D’Tomato Street is the only stall in Penang that serves nasi tomato on a cute orange Tuk Tuk. It definitely reminds us of the good old days of traveling in Thailand! They’re located by the roadside, opposite of Petronas Tanjung Tokong.

Locals would call them ‘nasi kenduri,’ probably because the dishes over here are commonly found in a banquet. The owner of D’Tomato Street was a former chef at Dome, along with other culinary experiences. Those who’ve tried his nasi tomato would know how good it is.

Each day, the stall would prepare a variety of lip-smacking dishes to pair along with the nasi tomato. If you’re lucky, sometimes you’ll get to try out their special dishes. Take nasi dalcha, Gulai Bawai and nasi minyak for example. Don’t miss out on their Ayam Goreng Berempah, or what his customers would call ‘Ayam Pistol.’
