Of course, Doutor Coffee Cafe not only offers coffee but also fresh food inspired by Japan. This signature pasta with Doutor’s specially made shoyu sauce is definitely our favourite!

Bread lovers or light eaters can opt for their Japanese fusion sandwiches, and you are also free to choose from one of the three sauce options:  Mayonnaise, Wasabi Mayo or Mentai Mayo. Do try out their Teriyaki Chicken sandwich which is their bestseller!

About Doutor Coffee Japan Penang Branch

The Doutor Coffee Japan branch in Gurney Plaza marks the 4th outlet of Doutor Cafe in Malaysia. D&N Coffee and Restaurant Malaysia Sdn Bhd was established as a joint venture company between Texchem Restaurant Systems Sdn Bhd (a wholly-ownded subsidiary of Texchem Resources Bhd) and D&N International Co. Ltd. from Japan, thus making it one of the newest subsidiaries under the Texchem Group of Companies.

Mr Masahiro Kanno, a coffee Master Roaster, who is the Director of Doutor Nichires Holdings Co. Ltd, personally goes to select the beans that Doutor uses from over 10,000 plantations from all over the world, including its very own plantation in Kona, Hawaii!

When asked whether Doutor Cafe will fear competition from both Starbucks and Coffee Beans which are located so near to the its Penang branch, Executive Chairman of Texchem Resources Bhd, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri (Dr) Fumihiko Konishi (first from left) pointed out that they have confidence because Doutor provides freshly roasted coffee beans and is more catered to the Malaysian’s taste buds compared to the latter.
