Nestled in Lebuh Kweng Kee, Dim Sum Valet is just a stone’s throw away from Penang Road Famous Cendol. Besides serving lipsmacking Halal dim sum, they offer a plethora of popular local dishes.
With a layout of a typical local coffee shop, you’ll find huge baskets of steamy, fresh dim sums upon entrance. Staffs here are friendly and attentive, which is a plus point.
We later found out that this place is adored by many locals, especially our Muslim friends. Not only are their dim sums delicious, their menu has something for everyone. We ordered some popular dishes like Char Koay Teow and Chee Cheong Fun.
Their Char Koay Teow took us by surprise! The flavor profile is very similar to the Chinese version that we’re very used to. Each noodle is evenly coated with flavor and wok hei, plus it has a spicy heat that kicks in later.
The Chee Cheong Fun that we ordered were equally good as well. The sauce has a very balanced flavor of shrimp paste and sweet sauce, and a very mild kick from the chili.
We will definitely go back to Dim Sum Valet to try out more of their dishes! Cozy, neat ambience, with good food and attentive service, what more can you ask for?
