Hi Penangites! We write about Penang food and sometimes we write about events too! In case you don’t know, Bon Odori Festival 2017 is happening next month (July). This festival is a Japanese Buddhist observance that honours the spirit of ancestors, who return once a year to visit their families. It’s also one of our favourite Penang Event.
The carnival-like atmosphere is made even merrier with stalls selling a variety of local and Japanese food, fireworks display, Japanese souvenirs, lively performances and games.

The 21st Penang Bon Odori Festival will be held at the Queensbay Mall outdoor car park this year since the Esplanade is being upgraded, says state Tourism Development Committee chairman Danny Law Heng Kiang.
