Apam Balik Station In Batu Ferringhi Penang Is A Perfect Snack Spot
As Malaysians, everyone’s easy go-to snack exists in many forms and in it, there’s always space for Apam Balik. Something about the crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside snack that has everyone hooked. When it comes to this traditional snack, our preference is rather subjective. There are some who prefer Apam Balik that are crispy while there are some who would kill to get a bite of soft, fluffy Apam Balik.
Well, while that debate won’t be over anytime soon, can we just add one more into the family of Apam Balik? That’s right, we’re talking about Apam Balik with fillings! Ranging from Nutella to Peanut Butter, you can even combine these 2 flavours and have an explosion of flavours in your mouth.
Apam Balik Station had a humble beginning. Their Apam stoves were merely set up on a table and operations were commenced this way until 2 years ago, when they shifted into a stall. Located right outside of Holiday Inn Resort at Batu Ferringhi, this spot is a crowd-favourite for both locals and tourists alike.
Here at Apam Balik Station, the killer flavours include the Original(Peanut + Sweetcorn), Nutella + Banana, Nutella + Peanut Butter, Nutella + Oreo. If you think their specialty ends here, think again. Because they can do savoury too by offering Chicken+Egg+Cheese Apam Balik. So in case, you need some assistance as to what to order, just go for the killer flavours.
Priced between RM3-RM5 per piece, it’s definitely a bang for your bucks. Operating till close to midnight, Apam Balik Station is perfect as a late-night supper spot.
