All Public Libraries In Penang Will Be Closed Until 28th June 2021 Due To MCO 3.0

To all of the bookworms in Penang, it is best to stay in your house at the moment if you want to enjoy reading your favourite book. As we are all aware, most places in Penang are closing down temporarily due to MCO 3.0. This includes public libraries as well.

All Penang Public Libraries Will Close Throughout MCO 3.0

Following the enforcement instructions of extended MCO 3.0, PPAPP (Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Pulau Pinang)  management decided to temporarily close all services. The temporary closure will begin from 15th June – 28th June 2021. This is a very important step in order to curb the COVID-19 cases in Penang. Among the libraries involved are the State Library and Seberang Jaya Library.

Users Are Not Advised to Return Any Reading Materials

Additionally, the date for item returns will automatically be extended until the end of PKP. So take good cafe of the books, okay? Furthermore, users are not advised to return their reading materials in the “BOOKDROP”. So just stay at home, enjoy your book, and practice the new norm friends!
