You can get almost anything you’re craving for during lunch here. Do check out their Facebook page because during certain weeks, they’re closed on Tuesday as well.

There are a few dishes that you should definitely try such as their fried chicken, fried fish, and special black sauce chicken.

Zap Tong Economy Rice is known because they’re open till past midnight. So if you’re looking for a spot for supper, this is the place for you. It’s a rarity for economy rice shops to be operating past midnight, therefore, this spot is quite unique.

While this place does not have as many various dishes as your regular economy rice shop but it’s definitely a favorite stall among the locals who live nearby. You can pick either plain porridge or rice to pair it with your dishes. The preserved vegetables and salted egg pairs perfectly with plain porridge and it’s comfort food for many.

This shop has been operating since 1957 and all the dishes are cooked by a 65-year-old lady. Minah Restaurant has been patronized and loved by both the younger and older generation. While there’s nothing really extraordinary about this place but the cook pride themselves for sticking to the traditional recipes. Do try their curry fish head which is a favorite among the regular customers.

From the various different kind of curries to fried fish with onion, you’ll be leaving this spot wanting more because of how tasty everything is. If you don’t want to miss out on the various curries, you should definitely mix all of it together and eat it as the local do which is ‘Nasi Banjir’. ‘Nasi Banjir’ is where your rice is literally swimming in curry. I’m not sure about you but that’s how I like my nasi Melayu.
