Besides learning about herbs and spices here, you can learn how to cook with said herbs and spices. The cooking classes are conducted by a talented panel of chefs and experienced home-cooks. This cooking class is the first of its kind in Penang. You can learn how to cook various different kinds of cuisines that can be found in Penang such as Nyonya, Malay, Indian-Malay, Thai, Penang Street food and Asian Vegetarian cuisines.

During festive seasons such as Christmas, Chinese New Year and Mooncake Festival, you will be able to learn how to bake all the cookies and mooncakes that are related to the festive season. Besides that, you can get baking ingredients here as well.

3. Nazlina Spice Station

Here at Nazlina Spice Station, you’ll be able to learn how to cook authentic Malay cuisine. Nazlina who is the owner aims to ensure that her students have a wonderful hands-on experience in her class. Moreover, there will be a wet market tour as Nazlina is a certified tour guide by the Ministry of Tourism of Malaysia.

4. Our Planet B112

5. Little Art House Studios

Little Art House Studio which is also known as LAH Studio aims to bring educational artistic experiences to all. Everyone is welcomed to join their workshops/ classes. Additionally, there is a different range of programs for the skilled or not so skilled. However, LAH Studio has recently decided to go spaceless so do check on their website for any new workshops or classes that are happening if you’re interested.

6. Keng Hwa Carving Studio

Learn the traditional art of carving here at Keng Hwa carving studio. This skill is vanishing soon hence the owner aims to pass down and promote this skill to the next generation by having classes and workshops. Besides that, you can sign up for a one-on-one class as well.

Students will be able to have hands-on experience through the science and technology programs. Moreover, all programs are free to schools making it the perfect class trip for the students.

These workshops include all kinds of calligraphy such as modern calligraphy, copperplate, and brush to watercolor and doodling.
