From a cozy Starbucks outlet in Straits Quay to the fancy and scenic Starbucks outlet at Batu Ferringhi, Penang has them all! But, something is missing. Well, no more! Starbucks Reserve is finally making its way to the island with its first store to be located in Gurney Plaza.

It appears that Starbucks Reserve will be strategically located next to the current Starbucks available in Gurney Plaza. With indoor and outdoor seating, Starbucks Reserve will be joining other coffee brands including The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Hoschino Coffee at the alfresco area. We are so excited to see the interior! After all, Starbucks Reserve has a fancier vibe in comparison to a normal outlet.
Now, you are probably wondering, what’s the difference between Starbucks, and Starbucks Reserve? At Starbucks Reserve, you will find a selection of the rarest and extraordinary coffees. Experimenting with different forms of brewing, aging, infusing, and blending, the outcome is the best of the best coffee Starbucks has to offer. Some of the selections of beans include Vietnam Da Lat, and Kenya Kangunu.
Opening in December 2019
Based on reliable sources, the first very Starbucks Reserve in Penang will be opening in December 2019. Some other spots you can find Starbucks Reserve in Malaysia include The Gardens Mall, Berjaya Times Square, among others.
