#1 Merry Me Poopies

Okay, you might be shocked by the title, like seriously we’re eating poop? Ranked No.1 Dessert Cafes in Penang by TripAdvisor 2017, Merry Me is always full of surprises. Their desserts are not only sweet to the eyes, but to the tastebuds as well. Their new menu this time around features soft serves that looks exactly like “poop,” therefore the name “Poopies.” Don’t worry this new foods in Penang is super adorable and delicious. There are three Poopies, Soursop Poopies, Rose Poopies and Signature Poopies. These Poopies are very limited and only available at Gurney Paragon outlet.

#2 Chick.A.Pollo

Tender chicken fillet battered and fried into golden perfection, local’s favourite snacks when hanging out at night markets. Another ordinary XL fried chicken fillet? You’ll be surprised what’s stuffed inside. At Chick.A.Pollo, fried chicken ain’t typical. Instead, lava chicken is what they serve. Chicken fillet stuffed with different kinds of unique flavors, take a bite and you’ll see the flavour juicing out like hot lava. Their bestselling flavors? Salted egg, matcha and devil cheese. Few days ago we announced that the Michelin One-Star Restaurant is finally opened in Penang, at Gurney Paragon. A Fujian restaurant founded in Singapore back in 2000. It has then expanded to different parts of Asia. Serving Fujian-inspired cuisines, PUTIEN makes sure to deliver only the most unadulterated tastes and sincere service. The interior has a Hong Kong vibe, where the interior is beautifully decorated. The ambiance of course is an A+, and the food has quality control. Your dining experience won’t be a disappointment at PUTIEN.

A new hit in Penang, Fuku Eatery&Desserts shares a building with Mano Plus, a contemporary place to shop for crafted little pieces. Fuku is an aesthetic cafe with simple interior that serves Japanese inspired menu. Everything from drinks to mains and of course, desserts are Instagram-worthy. We recommend to try out their Omu Tori Karaage and their desserts as well. Each piece looks very delectable. Shop for some delicate and modern pieces at Mano Plus after your meal.

Curry &Co serves some authentic Southern Indian foods, it’s definitely one of the new foods in Penang worth trying out.
