New in town and serving you the American Dream, all you gotta do is close your eyes, order and expect the best. From comforting meal to spicy dishes, they have it all under your nose. Located right in Design Village, all you gotta do find the appetite (pffff easy) and leave the rest to The Morning After. Also, one dish worth mentioning would be the Banger’s and mash with Brown sauce at rm23.
2. Tam Sui Old taste cake of Taiwan
Currently popular all over Asia,Taiwan Cake is two layers of sponge cake sandwiched between plastic cheese.Descended to our sunny island, Tam Sui does it better than anybody else within the 2000 miles radius. Located 3.2 km away from Village Design, this fluffy babe is served fresh out of the oven so fluffy and light it begs to be tasted by you.To save you the trouble, original flavour is RM10/pc, cake with cheese slides is RM14/pc and chocolate flavour is RM16/pc (limited quantity per day)

Approved by tough critics out there, this halal restaurants has been the talk of the town since 2012. With a 9 minutes distance from Design Village, this huge piece of land transformed into a pretty dine in setting. Moreover, considering it reasonably priced, the Claypot Fish Head Curry is a MUST-TRY guys no joke!
5. Food Bazaar @ Design Village
Malaysians are all about having it all at once.Hence, hawker and stretches of various type of food stalls scattered everywhere. Presenting you, with their very own stretch of stalls is the Food Bazaar in Design Village itself. From your good’ol Milo O Ais with some Chili Pan Mee (not more than rm8 for a meal and a drink YASSSSS) is as typical it can get and WE LOVE IT! No sign of food picture due to it recently opening.Guess you’ll have to encounter it in real life!
6. BM Best Chendol @ Jalan Kulim
Aiyo, where got one!!The best chendol sure the Penang Road one la! Well for sure its the best but we can also conclude that this is the Bukit Mertajam of a version of a best chendol. The combination of a thick creamy coconut milk with the soft but firm texture of the red beans, sweetened by some black sugar and swimming greeny cendol is a poem you wanna devour than read about.
As cheap as Rm2, it doesn’t get better than this to quench our thirst while melting from our sauna weather. We’re just going to let the picture do rest of the talking.
Alongside this beauty, there are few stalls selling Malay Food so there’s always something more for you guys to explore and enjoy.

7. Restoran Kapitan @ Jalan Saujana
Our feels 24/7 for Briyani.Known for their Aromatic, luscious and oh so flavorful claypot briyani and tandoori chicken, it’s no wonder the Kapitan franchise are breeding like rabbits all over Penang. Though not their best in service they do compromise with their amazing food they put on the table.
Senses are awakened and feet is swaying towards their direction …….

5.2 km away from Design Village set in a rustic mode, this restaurant manifested their ‘abandoned looking cafe’ and gave it a personality on Insta (as you an see above) & into the food they prepare that has put on a smile on many. Serving healthy to oriental and western dishes, there’s always something for everybody to enjoy so be just sure to bring a a friend or two when you visit this cafe/gallery
